Director of Financial Strategy Implementation

Role Description The (Financial Strategy Execution Director) is a full-time, remote role responsible for translating financial strategy into actionable programs and measurable results. This position leads the planning and execution of key financial initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and risk mitigation. The director oversees cross-functional program management, coordinating with finance, operations, and senior leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial data, identifying improvement opportunities, designing and managing strategic projects, and providing clear guidance to teams on priorities and timelines. The role also involves mentoring and training team members, establishing best practices for financial execution, and preparing concise reports and presentations to inform executive decision-making.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop actionable insights. Program management capabilities to plan, execute, and monitor strategic financial initiatives across multiple stakeholders. Team management and team leadership skills to guide, motivate, and develop diverse, remote teams. Experience in training, coaching, or developing staff in financial processes, tools, and strategic execution. Advanced knowledge of corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management frameworks. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Proficiency in financial modeling and the use of financial and reporting software; strong Excel skills are an advantage. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders. Proven experience in a leadership role within finance or strategy, ideally in a multi-location or remote environment. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving context.
