Director of Information Technology

Role Description The Director of Information Technology is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading all aspects of IT strategy, operations, and security. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing IT infrastructure, managing systems administration, and ensuring stable, secure network environments. The role involves developing and executing IT roadmaps, aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals, and managing IT policies, standards, and governance. The Director will lead IT teams and vendors, coordinate incident response, monitor system performance, and optimize processes for reliability and scalability. This position also collaborates with leadership and business units to evaluate technology needs, manage budgets, and support digital transformation efforts.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in IT Management and IT Operations, including leading teams and overseeing enterprise-wide systems. Strong foundation in Information Technology fundamentals, with experience implementing and supporting core infrastructure and business applications. Proficiency in Network Security practices, including risk assessment, security controls, monitoring, and incident response. Proven ability to develop and execute IT Strategy that aligns technology investments with organizational priorities. Experience with cloud platforms, virtualization, and modern infrastructure (e.g., SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) is highly beneficial. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Track record of remote team leadership, vendor management, and project management across multiple initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP) are a plus.
