Director of Social Media Operations - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Director of Social Media Operations to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead social media operations with a focus on governance, efficiency, and cross-functional execution across a complex enterprise environment. The Director will partner closely with legal, compliance, finance, and marketing stakeholders to strengthen policies, improve processes, and support responsible platform use. This position also oversees tools, vendor relationships, training, and operational support that help the organization deliver consistent and effective social media programs. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $134,600 – $230,800 annually

Responsibilities

Support social media governance and optimize integration across the organization Identify operational gaps and implement efficiency solutions Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to update policies and procedures Partner with teams to execute social media updates and training programs Manage social media tools, ensuring they meet business needs and ROI Oversee RFP processes to select the best tools within budget Develop relationships with customer success partners to ensure value delivery Conduct regular account hygiene checks for security and accountability Work with finance to manage budgets and chargebacks Execute research to suggest toolset enhancements and best practices Lead onboarding for new hires and vendor partners Support content development and strategic projects Mentor junior team members Qualifications 9+ years of experience in social media or digital marketing Experience in enterprise-wide social media governance programs Proficiency in managing social media technology platforms and vendor relationships Skilled in driving organizational change and process adoption Experience developing training and engagement programs Experience managing budgets, contracts, and RFPs Deep understanding of social media platforms and content creation Strong project management skills in a complex environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
