Director–SAP Finance Advisory

Role: Director–SAP Finance Advisory Location: REMOTE (United States) Duration: Full Time The Role We are looking for a senior finance professional with deep domain knowledge and hands-on experience implementing SAP projects. This role combines finance expertise, business process knowledge, and SAP expertise to help clients define practical finance transformation solutions. You will lead client discussions, shape solutions, support pursuits, and advise senior stakeholders on SAP-enabled finance transformation. This is a client-facing advisory and solutioning role, not a configuration-only or delivery execution role. You will work with CFOs, Controllers, Finance Directors, and other stakeholders to understand business needs, challenge existing processes, and translate requirements into a practical SAP roadmap. Client Advisory and Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, Controllers, Treasurers, and finance leadership teams. Lead finance discovery workshops, current-state assessments, and future-state process design. Advise on finance operating models, close optimization, controls, and compliance (SOX, IFRS, US GAAP, ASPE). Take leadership roles on engagements, such as Finance Lead, Solution Architect, or Workstream Lead. Build and maintain strong executive relationships throughout the engagement. Solutioning and Pre-Sales Shape SAP Finance solutions for proposals, RFPs, and orals, including scope, approach, assumptions, estimates, and value cases. Turn business requirements into clear solution designs across S/4HANA Finance and related areas. Help build reusable accelerators, finance process models, market offerings, and practice knowledge. Present solution approaches and business cases to senior client stakeholders. Finance Process Advisory Advise clients on finance processes across Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Treasury, Asset Accounting, and Controlling. Ensure proposed solutions align with sound accounting principles and SAP capabilities, including chart of accounts, ledger design, CO-PA/margin analysis, intercompany, and consolidation.

Qualifications

Required CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting designation; candidates with strong equivalent finance experience will also be considered. 15+ years of overall experience, including substantial experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO and/or S/4HANA Finance). Experience with a Big 4 consulting firm is preferred, particularly in senior finance advisory or consulting roles. Strong finance domain knowledge and end-to-end business process expertise, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost and Profitability Accounting, Period-End Close, and Financial Reporting.
