We prefer candidates with consulting experience who can connect system configuration to the day-to-day work of purchasing, inventory, warehouse, planning, and production teams. Configure and validate procurement and sourcing, inventory management, warehouse management, and master planning processes in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. Design and configure manufacturing processes covering production orders, bills of materials (BOMs), routes and operations resources, scheduling, material consumption, and reporting as finished. Work with finance and operations stakeholders on inventory valuation, production costing, and the operational transactions that affect financial results. Prepare functional specifications for integrations and enhancements. Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and third-party solution providers to resolve requirements that extend beyond standard configuration. Support master-data preparation and migration validation. Develop end-to-end test scenarios and help client users complete user acceptance testing. Deliver user training and maintain process, configuration, and support documentation. Participate in cutover, go-live support, and post-implementation improvements. Manage assigned deliverables and client relationships. Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and scope questions to the project manager and other project leaders. Practical understanding of how procurement, inventory, warehousing, planning, and production processes work together, with depth in manufacturing configuration. Experience with production orders, BOMs, routes, resource and capacity considerations, and production costing. Evidence of your contribution to ERP implementations, including the processes you designed or configured, the problems you resolved, and the outcomes achieved. Be prepared to discuss your role from requirements through testing and go-live. Ability to turn business needs into clear functional documentation, facilitate workshops, and explain configuration decisions to business users and technical colleagues. Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and client-service skills, with the ability to manage competing project priorities. Helpful experience Client-facing implementation work in a consulting organization or Microsoft partner environment is strongly preferred. SCM leadership aspirations, such as an interest in mentoring consultants, sharing delivery practices, or taking on broader functional workstream responsibility, are a plus. Team lead potential is available for the right candidate, with lead-level consideration based on demonstrated management and delivery responsibility. Dynamics AX experience, including migrations to Dynamics 365, and experience with supply chain integrations or independent software vendor (ISV) solutions. Additional experience with process or lean manufacturing, advanced warehouse processes, or presales demonstrations.
