Edifecs Developer
Job Description: Edifecs Developer Location: Remote – Kentucky, USA,Remote Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Edifecs Developer to design, develop, implement, and support EDI solutions for US healthcare claims processing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Edifecs Smart Trading Platform and a strong understanding of HIPAA X12 transactions, particularly 837 Professional, Institutional, and Dental claims. The candidate will be responsible for implementing transaction validation, data transformation, and routing solutions between clearinghouses, web applications, and internal claims processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain EDI solutions using the Edifecs Smart Trading Platform. Work with HIPAA X12 837 Professional, Institutional, and Dental transactions. Configure and support Edifecs XEngine, SpecBuilder, and Transaction Management. Develop and maintain EDI validation, transformation, and routing workflows. Troubleshoot EDI transaction errors, rejections, and processing issues. Collaborate with healthcare payers, providers, clearinghouses, and internal technical teams. Use SQL queries to analyze data, investigate issues, and support production troubleshooting. Work with XML, XSD, XSLT, flat files, and delimited-file formats. Ensure EDI solutions comply with applicable HIPAA transaction standards. Support testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing production maintenance. Mandatory Skills Hands-on experience with the Edifecs Smart Trading Platform, including XEngine, SpecBuilder, and Transaction Management. Strong knowledge of US healthcare claims processing and EDI workflows. Experience with HIPAA X12 837 Professional, Institutional, and Dental transactions. Understanding of claims submission, adjudication, rejections, denials, and remittance processes. Proficiency in SQL using Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. Experience with XML, XSD, XSLT, flat files, and delimited-file formats. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Good-to-Have Skills Edifecs certification. HIPAA or EDI certification, including X12-related training. Healthcare IT training or relevant certifications from AHIMA, HIMSS, or similar organizations. Experience integrating EDI transactions with clearinghouses and internal healthcare claims systems.
