Editorial Writer
About Corridor Corridor is the first AI-native employee benefits brokerage. We believe AI fundamentally changes the economics of great service. Our mission is to preserve what makes service valuable (human expertise, judgment, and accountability) while dramatically expanding who can access it. We help employers design, buy and run their benefits, with AI doing the busywork that has always slowed brokers down, so our advisors can spend their time on what clients actually need. We're a small, talent-dense team backed by Bain Capital Ventures and other leading investors, building a new kind of services business from the ground up.
About the Role
We're looking for a part-time Editorial Writer to help build Corridor's voice. Health benefits are one of the biggest costs a business carries and one of the least understood. Most of what's written about them is jargon or marketing. We think there's room for writing that is genuinely useful: well-researched, clear, and honest about the tradeoffs. This is an editorial role, not a copywriting one. You'll research, report and write pieces for founders, people leaders and the employees they support, working closely with our Growth team. You'll own real work from your first few weeks. The role is remote and about 20 hours a week, with flexible hours. It's a great fit for a strong student writer, or an early-career writer who wants to do serious work at a fast-growing startup.
What You'll Do
Research and write. Turn complex topics into pieces people actually want to read, from short explainers to longer-form analysis. Report. Interview our advisors, customers and outside experts, and dig into the data to find the story. Edit. Shape drafts from teammates and guest contributors so everything we publish meets a high bar. Ship consistently. Keep a steady publishing rhythm without letting quality slip. Help define our voice. Work with the team on how Corridor sounds wherever we show up.
What We're Looking For
You're a strong writer with published work. A student paper, magazine, newsletter or blog. Show us your best clips. You make complicated things simple. You can take a dense topic and explain it clearly without dumbing it down. You're rigorous. You check facts, cite sources and don't overstate. You're reliable. You hit deadlines and turn feedback around quickly. You're curious about how businesses work. No benefits or insurance background required. We'll teach you. You're excited about AI. You use AI tools to research and draft faster, and hold the output to your own standard. Please include links to 2-3 writing samples with your application.
