Must Have Active Secret Clearance

****************** Candidates must have 9+ years of hands on experience shown on the resume in worst-case circuit analyses, radiation testing, and electrical parts stress analysis and a secret clearance to be considered for this position as well as an active secret clearance to be considered Job # : 26-03483 Job Title : Electrical Engineer Job Location : King of Prussia, PA 19406 OR REMOTE Contract Job Description : Description: Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Analog Circuit Design Engineer with deep subject matter expertise in complex linear regulator design for space and nuclear environments. This engineer will support the redesign and improvement of highly complex analog circuits used in critical strategic hardware, where reliability, performance, and radiation tolerance are paramount. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and redesigning precision linear regulator circuits using MIL SPEC, radiation hardened discrete semiconductor components. This individual must be capable of quickly integrating into an established engineering team, independently evaluating existing designs, and immediately contributing technical expertise to challenging circuit redesign efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, redesign, and optimization of complex linear regulator circuits for mission critical space and nuclear applications.
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for analog circuit design, with particular emphasis on discrete component linear regulators, precision voltage regulation, stability, transient response, and protection circuitry.
  • Perform detailed circuit analysis and design evaluations using radiation hardened, MIL SPEC discrete semiconductors and other high reliability electronic components.
  • Evaluate existing circuit designs, identify technical limitations and performance risks, and develop robust redesign solutions that meet stringent electrical, environmental, reliability, and radiation requirements.
  • Support worst case circuit analysis (WCCA), tolerance analysis, stability analysis, and other detailed electrical performance assessments as needed.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve difficult technical challenges and ensure design solutions meet program requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and design recommendations for complex analog circuitry operating in demanding radiation, temperature, and reliability environments.
  • Rapidly assess existing designs, establish technical priorities, and begin producing meaningful engineering results with minimal onboarding.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive professional experience in analog circuit design, with demonstrated expertise in complex linear regulator design.
  • Proven experience designing or redesigning high reliability analog circuits using discrete semiconductor components.
  • Direct experience with radiation hardened components and MIL SPEC parts for space, nuclear, aerospace, or similarly demanding applications.
  • Strong understanding of linear regulator architectures, feedback and control loops, loop stability, compensation, transient response, precision references, and protection circuits.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legacy circuit designs, identify root causes of technical issues, and develop practical, defensible redesign solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound engineering decisions, and contribute immediately to complex technical efforts.
  • Strong technical communication skills, including the ability to document design rationale, explain tradeoffs, and communicate recommendations to engineering leadership and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with radiation effects and component selection for radiation hardened electronics, including applicable total ionizing dose and single event effects considerations.
  • Experience supporting spaceflight, strategic defense, nuclear hardened, or other mission critical electronic hardware programs.
  • Experience performing detailed worst case circuit analysis, tolerance analysis, and design verification for high reliability analog electronics.
  • Familiarity with applicable military and aerospace component specifications, qualification requirements, and environmental design constraints.

Immediate Support Need This position supports a critical engineering effort involving the redesign of highly complex analog circuits for strategic hardware. We require an established technical expert who can engage quickly, evaluate existing designs, and begin contributing practical design solutions immediately. Candidates whose experience is primarily theoretical or limited to general analog circuit design, without substantial hands on experience in complex linear regulator design and high reliability discrete component implementations, are unlikely to meet the needs of this effort. Pay: From $100.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Application Question(s):

  • Do you have 9 + years of Experience in Worst-case circuit analyses, radiation testing, and electrical parts stress analysis
