Embedded Hardware / analog specialist (pH sensor)

🌍 Remote Β· United States πŸ’Ό Full-time

We are looking for an electronic technician/engineer who has hands-on experience building a smart pH meter to review, revise existing pH meter design. The pH meter contains 2 pH sensors, 1 EC sensor, and a high resolution display to display data and graphics. The product will send the pH/EC data to a smart phone app, which will display additional information. The app has been already designed. The PCB has been designed but may need revision Task PCB design review experience, including DFM (design for manufacturing) and DFT (design for test) PCBA bring-up and debugging with an oscilloscope, multimeter, and power supply Low-noise analog front end design (electrometer-grade op-amps, guarding, leakage control) Sensor interfacing (ADC, I2C/SPI) and experience with a temperature sensor for compensation Display selection and integration (OLED, e-paper, or TFT, depending on power and readability needs) Wireless module integration (ESP32 or similar), including power and RF considerations

Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in Hardware Development and Electronics Hardware Design, with a focus on sensor and analog signal conditioning. Candidates should possess skills in Circuit Design and Computer Hardware, including familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded platforms, and PCB-level implementation. Understanding of analog electronics (op-amps, filters, ADCs) and experience or coursework related to pH sensors or electrochemical sensing is beneficial. Ability to use circuit simulation and PCB design tools (e.g., SPICE, KiCad, Altium, or similar) is an advantage. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Must live in the US, preferably the Austin, Texas area
