You’ll be expected to build visibility and relationships across the wider marketing and communications ecosystem through industry events, conferences, networking, thought leadership and speaking opportunities. You should be comfortable representing an agency at senior level and developing genuine long-term relationships rather than relying solely on transactional prospecting. What We’re Looking For 10+ years of relevant business development, new business, growth or strategic partnership experience. Significant experience working within a marketing, communications, PR, advertising, digital or integrated agency is essential. A strong understanding of the agency new-business and pitch environment . Demonstrable experience personally contributing to significant net-new client wins and revenue growth . Experience developing opportunities with enterprise-level organisations and major brands . An established network across marketing, communications, procurement and/or the wider agency community . Experience selling integrated agency services such as communications, digital, creative, advertising, marketing or related strategic services . Strong relationships with senior client decision-makers and the confidence to engage at C-suite level. Experience developing strategic agency partnerships, alliances or referral relationships. Strong commercial judgement and executive presence. Excellent presentation and public-speaking skills. A hands-on approach. You should be comfortable personally prospecting, developing relationships and progressing opportunities rather than only managing a business development team. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. The Profile We’re Looking For You’re likely already operating in new business, growth or business development within an established agency environment and have a track record of bringing meaningful new clients into the business. You know how to navigate an agency, bringing together strategy, creative, digital, communications and other specialists around an opportunity. Just as importantly, you know how to build relationships before an RFP lands and position an agency so it is already part of the conversation when opportunities emerge. You should be equally credible talking with a CMO at a major organisation, leading a complex new-business pursuit, developing a relationship with another agency network or representing the business at an industry event. If you have a strong agency new-business background , an established enterprise network and a track record of opening doors and winning significant client relationships, I’d be interested in having a confidential conversation.
