Epic Database Administrator

Hiring: Epic Database Administrator Location: Fully Remote (EST/CST working hours) Duration: Long Term Contract

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the Epic ECSA/ODBA team. Manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-premises and cloud environments. Design and implement database backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions. Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimization strategies. Manage database security, access controls, auditing, and compliance. Support Epic application upgrades, build migrations, and database maintenance. Coordinate with Linux, Windows, networking, storage, and other infrastructure teams. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and on-call support.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Active Epic ODBA, ECSA, Data Courier, or Chronicles certification. 8+ years of relevant experience, including Epic ODBA/ECSA. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server database administration. Knowledge of Epic/Cache databases, Epic Windows applications, and Linux/Windows operating systems. Experience with database performance tuning, security, backup, recovery, and high availability. Strong leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Epic Clarity certification. Experience with Red Hat Linux administration. Knowledge of storage systems, cloud services, security, and networking infrastructure.
