Remote Position

Executive Protection Operations Manager

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

We are looking for a highly organized and solutions-oriented Operations Manager to serve as a key individual contributor providing centralized operational and program-management support for Cummins' global Executive Protection program . In this newly established role, the Executive Protection Operations Leader will translate program direction into consistent, repeatable execution by coordinating protective services for C-suite and Board travel, meetings, and special events. Operating as a trusted operational partner and subject matter expert, this individual contributor will serve as the critical link among Executive Protection, executive support teams, internal business partners, and external security providers while managing highly sensitive information with the utmost discretion. This work will strengthen the quality, scalability, and effectiveness of a global program designed to support executive safety, mobility, and business continuity. This is a U.S.-based remote opportunity with periodic travel to Indiana and other locations as business needs require.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways

  • Coordinate seamless protective operations: Plan and coordinate protective services supporting C-suite and Board travel, meetings, special events, and domestic and international activities.

  • Build scalable program infrastructure: Develop standardized processes, protocols, tools, and workflows for travel planning, protective operations, emergency response, documentation, budgeting, invoicing, and reporting.

  • Strengthen vendor performance: Identify, evaluate, onboard, and coordinate security providers while establishing service expectations, KPIs, performance measures, and accountability mechanisms.

  • Connect critical stakeholders: Serve as the operational conduit among Executive Protection, Executive Assistants, the Office of the CEO, Corporate Aviation, Purchasing, Physical Security, Global Resiliency, Special Events, and external partners.

  • Improve operational consistency: Analyze recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement practical improvements that increase the reliability, efficiency, quality, and scalability of Executive Protection services.

  • Enhance program readiness: Develop and maintain security plans, emergency-response procedures, training programs, audit practices, operational records, and reporting that support consistent and risk-informed execution.

To be successful in this role you will need the following

  • Exceptional judgment and discretion: Demonstrated ability to protect highly sensitive executive information, make sound ethical decisions, and operate professionally in confidential environments.

  • Operational and project leadership: The ability to organize multiple priorities, coordinate complex workstreams, anticipate requirements, and deliver accurate results without direct authority over stakeholders.

  • Calm, risk-informed decision-making: The ability to assess incomplete or rapidly changing information, balance safety, service, cost, and business requirements, and perform effectively under pressure.

  • Influential communication: Excellent writing, presentation, consulting, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate security requirements into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences.

  • Analytical and continuous-improvement capability: The ability to synthesize data, monitor performance, identify operational gaps, resolve root causes, and implement sustainable process improvements.

  • Global and service-oriented mindset: Strong awareness of emerging security risks and industry practices, a commitment to exceptional executive support, and the willingness to travel up to 40% based on operational needs.

Education/Experience

  • Ideally five or more years of experience in Executive Protection, corporate security, global security, protective operations, intelligence, emergency management, or a related security field.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, high-stakes, and time-sensitive projects involving multiple internal stakeholders and external service providers.

  • Experience supporting executive travel, security logistics, protective advances, special events, or other domestic and international security operations.

  • Proven vendor-management experience, including contract administration, purchasing, invoicing, service-level expectations, performance measures, and KPIs.

  • Experience developing and implementing operational processes, security plans, procedures, workflows, training programs, audits, or quality-assurance practices.

  • Strong technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office and AI tools, Windows, iOS or Android platforms, security systems, intelligence resources, mapping applications, and internet-based technologies.

  • Experience working across multiple geographies and adapting operational plans to local security conditions, regulatory requirements, transportation infrastructure, emergency-response capabilities, cultural practices, and available protective resources.

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.
