Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing family law team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of recent family law litigation experience, strong courtroom and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage cases independently while maintaining a collaborative, client-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage family law cases from inception through resolution. Represent clients in court hearings, settlement conferences, and other proceedings. Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies. Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients' best interests. Maintain clear client communication and ensure compliance with court rules, filing procedures, and deadlines. Practice Areas Divorce and legal separation Child custody and visitation Parentage Child support Guardianships Adoptions
Qualifications
And Requirements Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar. 2-3 years of recent family law litigation experience. Ability to independently manage a family law caseload. Strong courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing skills. Knowledge of California Rules of Court, San Diego Superior Court Local Rules, discovery, pleadings, and court filing procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and family law software, including MyCase, DissoMaster, and Essential Forms. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to client service.
