Family Leadership Development Coordinator

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

FAMILY LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR The mission of Courage to Caregivers is to empower and equip carers to navigate their journey. We envision a world where healthy carers lead to healthier families and communities. We’re in the caregiver burnout prevention business. Courage to Caregivers has been awarded a three-year grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to establish the Ohio Family Network (OFN), a statewide initiative supporting families and primary caregivers raising children, youth, and young adults with serious emotional disturbance (SED) or co-occurring disorders. The Ohio Family Network will strengthen family voice and leadership, expand access to family peer support and systems navigation, provide training and education, and build stronger connections among family-led and family-serving organizations across Ohio. Family leadership is a cornerstone of this initiative. Through the Ohio Family Network Family Leadership Pathway, caregivers will be supported in moving from lived experience to meaningful leadership—serving on advisory councils, boards, workgroups and advocacy initiatives, strengthening family voice in systems of care, and, for those interested, pursuing opportunities within the Certified Family Peer Support workforce. The Family Leadership Development Coordinator will lead this pathway, recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and developing unpaid family caregivers into confident leaders. Working closely with the Family Peer Support Supervisor and statewide partners, the Coordinator will connect caregivers with leadership opportunities that strengthen Ohio's behavioral health system and improve systems of care for children, youth, young adults, and their families. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position (20 hours/week) that is remote/hybrid within Ohio and includes a 90-day probationary period.
