Field Service Power Generation Technician

Job Summary

Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in (Coburg, OR)

• Completing repair activities on generators or components

• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner

• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

• Maintain detailed records of service

• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

• Maintain own tools

Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.

• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.

• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.

(Entry)

• Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.

• Basic Diesel Engine experience.

• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.

Qualifications

Participates in the on-call rotation for the territory.

- A current valid license is required for this role- This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical- 3 years driving experience- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of ageEducation, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Current relevant electrical certification Locally valid driving permit This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Minimal level of workshop related experience required. Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience

21+ years old, valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, DOT physical and regulations, 5-year clean MVR, vocational diploma, electrical certification, power generation and high/low voltage experience, on-call rotation.
