Finance Operations Specialist (Billing, AR & Accounting)

Our practice management platform is used by thousands of independent healthcare practices across the country. The finance team is small, hands-on and modern, and we use AI to automate the repetitive work so our people can focus on the work that matters. Leadership promotes from within, so this is a role you can grow from. The role You’ll report to the VP of Finance and work every day with our Finance Ops & AI Automation Lead. You’ll own a mix of billing, collections and core accounting. It’s a good fit for someone with a few years of experience who wants more ownership and wants to learn how a software finance team runs. What you’ll do Run customer billing and invoicing, and keep billing data in sync with Salesforce Manage AR and collections, including picking up the phone with customers when needed Work alongside our AI dunning and customer-reply agents: review what they produce, catch exceptions, and help tune them Reconcile billing to the CRM, vendor statements and bank accounts Support AP and month-end close, including journal entries and GL work in QuickBooks Online Find manual processes and help fix them What we’re looking for 1 to 3 years in billing, AR, staff accounting, or public accounting (audit or tax) Comfortable with QuickBooks Online or a similar GL, and solid in Excel or Google Sheets Detail-oriented and organized, and you follow things through to the end Confident on the phone with customers Curious about automation and AI tools (no technical background required) Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, not required Salesforce or SaaS experience is a plus Why join A real path to grow, with leadership that promotes from within Broad exposure to billing, AR and accounting on a small, close-knit team Hands-on experience with AI automation in finance Hybrid schedule: more time in the office during your first 90 days while you ramp up, then a mix of office and remote Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,750.00 per year Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid sick time Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Vision insurance Work from home Work Location: Hybrid remote in Austin, TX 78758
