Finance & Accounting Expert (Remote | $40–$90/hr) Position: Finance & Accounting Expert Type: Contractor Compensation: Up to $90/hour equivalent Location: Remote — Global About the Opportunity An organization is seeking experienced finance and accounting professionals to design realistic, multi-step tasks that evaluate AI systems' ability to perform complex financial work. The role focuses on transforming real-world finance workflows into challenging, measurable tasks with clear instructions, supporting documents, and objective grading criteria. No prior AI experience is required. Strong English proficiency is essential (B2 advanced or C1 preferred).

Key Responsibilities

• Design multi-step tasks based on real finance and accounting workflows, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, audit procedures, and reconciliations.
• Establish objective grading criteria that enable consistent evaluation across qualified reviewers.
• Develop tasks requiring professional judgment, accurate interpretation, and analysis of financial materials.
• Create or source supporting materials, including spreadsheets, general ledger extracts, financial statements, and policy documents.
• Identify and flag ambiguous or ungradable tasks before submission.
• Deliver approved tasks on schedule while maintaining required quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in finance or accounting functions such as FP&A, financial reporting, auditing, reconciliations, or accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate real-world finance workflows into clearly defined, measurable tasks.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to work across multiple financial documents.
• Strong written English communication skills.
• Ability to apply objective standards consistently and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of direct responsibility in FP&A, financial reporting, auditing, reconciliations, or accounting.
• Experience developing or applying structured review standards, such as audit programs, review checklists, financial close checklists, grading rubrics, or training assessments.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Previous experience with AI or large language model (LLM) evaluation.

Compensation

• Up to $90/hour equivalent.
• Approximately 10 hours per task.
• Project-based engagement with payment per approved task.
• Fully remote opportunity with no geographic restrictions.
