The organization supports homeowners, estates, vineyards, commercial properties, utilities, and government agencies in preparing for wildfire in the Wildland Urban Interface. ARS combines property hardening, defensible space strategies, water-based suppression systems, and operational wildfire defense to reduce risk and strengthen property resilience. Teams bring decades of frontline wildfire and emergency operations experience to every assessment, installation, and defense plan. ARS also contributes to broader wildfire resilience through community outreach, mitigation planning, and support for grant-funded preparedness programs. Role Description The Fire Defense Expert is a part-time, remote role responsible for advising clients on wildfire risk reduction and property protection strategies. Day-to-day tasks include conducting virtual property risk assessments, reviewing site plans, and recommending fire prevention, defensible space, and protection measures. The Fire Defense Expert will develop and refine wildfire defense plans, provide guidance on fire suppression systems, and collaborate with internal teams to support installations and operational readiness. This role also contributes to educational materials, community outreach initiatives, and supports clients in understanding best practices for wildfire preparedness and life safety.
