As the product ecosystem expands, this role will help establish a consistent, scalable, and accessible UI foundation that enables frontend teams to work efficiently without compromising quality. Working at the intersection of design and engineering, you will collaborate with designers, product engineers, and platform teams to turn design concepts, tokens, and interaction patterns into reusable, production-ready components. You will also improve the tooling and workflows that support component development, testing, versioning, and maintenance. This role offers the opportunity to influence the shared UI foundation used across LangChain’s products. Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain LangChain’s reusable component library for its products. Design and implement flexible, composable React components that meet accessibility and production-quality standards. Work closely with designers to translate design systems, design tokens, and interaction patterns into code. Develop and improve tooling for theming, token management, versioning, testing, and component discovery, including tools such as Storybook. Make architectural decisions that support accessibility, performance, consistency, and maintainability across the UI stack. Optimize build performance, bundling strategies, and package versioning for the component library. Maintain and improve testing tools and dependency management for the UI application. Collaborate with product engineers, designers, and platform teams to ensure the component library meets the needs of teams across the organization.

Extensive experience building modular, composable, and well-documented component libraries and/or design systems. Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Familiarity with styling approaches such as CSS Modules, CSS-in-JS, Tailwind CSS, or Sass. Experience with design system tools and workflows, such as Storybook, Chromatic, or design token pipelines. Experience collaborating closely with designers and other non-engineering stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality implementation. A genuine interest in accessibility and inclusive design. Familiarity with UI component testing and visual regression testing.
