About The Role Vaco LLC is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer for a 6-month contract-to-hire position, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role. This fully remote position is based within the US, aligning with EST or CST time zones. The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge payment application, contributing to both front-end and back-end development efforts. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on product development from day one. The developer will be instrumental in building and maintaining features within the member-facing React payment platform and broker portals. They will develop cloud-native services hosted on AWS, manage data interactions with MongoDB, and integrate with payment platforms such as Stripe and OnRamp. The role also involves supporting the migration from Angular to React, contributing to claims processing systems, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience. Proficiency in React, including hooks, context, and component architecture. Experience with Angular, particularly in migration projects. Strong back-end skills in Node.js or similar server-side technologies. Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, and API Gateway. Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB. Experience with payment integrations, including Stripe and OnRamp. Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration. Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and enhance features within the React-based payment application and broker portals, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. Create, maintain, and optimize cloud-native services and APIs hosted on AWS, ensuring scalability and security. Manage data interactions with MongoDB across claims and payment data layers, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Implement and support payment integrations with platforms such as Stripe and OnRamp, ensuring seamless transaction processing. Assist in the migration from Angular to React, contributing to code refactoring and modernization efforts. Participate in claims processing and onboarding system development, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deploy features from conception to production. Maintain code quality through reviews, testing, and documentation, adhering to best practices and standards. Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate them into the development process to improve product offerings.
