About the Role
NextGen Coding Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack / Systems) to design, build, and maintain production-grade software across different industries and technology stacks. This role is suited to an experienced engineer who can work independently, take ownership of complex technical assignments, and deliver reliable solutions from architecture through deployment. You will develop full-stack applications, build APIs and data pipelines, contribute to system architecture, and troubleshoot distributed systems. Working in a remote consulting environment, you will collaborate with delivery managers, QA professionals, designers, and other engineers while maintaining strong engineering standards and clear technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and build scalable production software systems. Develop full-stack applications using modern frontend and backend frameworks. Build APIs, data pipelines, automation systems, and internal tools. Contribute to system architecture and technical planning for client engagements. Deliver production-quality code with minimal supervision. Review code and maintain engineering standards across projects. Debug and resolve complex technical issues involving distributed systems. Collaborate with delivery managers, QA professionals, designers, and engineering teams to deliver reliable software. Document system architecture, technical decisions, and implementation details. Adapt to unfamiliar technologies and codebases to meet project requirements. Build and maintain solutions across different industries, technology stacks, and business environments.
Required Qualifications
At least 10 years of professional software development experience. Demonstrated experience delivering multiple production systems across different industries. Strong full-stack engineering experience across frontend and backend technologies. Experience designing system architecture and scalable applications. Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, codebases, and technical challenges. Experience working with remote or distributed engineering teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with product, design, and delivery teams. Ability to work independently and manage complex technical assignments with minimal oversight. Technical Skills and Technologies Frontend development using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks. Backend development using Python, Node.js, REST APIs, and distributed systems. Database experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of data pipelines, integrations, and data processing workflows. Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure. Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments. Familiarity with AI integrations, automation systems, or data platforms is an advantage.
