Full Stack Engineer

๐ŸŒ Remote ยท United States ๐Ÿ’ผ Full-time

About The Role Stratify Software is hiring a senior full-stack engineer for a full-time, US-based, remote contract position through Stratify Software Inc. (Florida). Stratify is a software engineering and AI firm that builds for clients across healthcare, construction, real estate and regulated finance. Our work spans AI integration, compliance architecture (HIPAA, SOC 2), custom platforms and workflow automation. Recent and current work includes clinical systems, AI-driven construction takeoff and invoice compliance, executive intelligence platforms for construction groups, and compliance tooling for financial services. Your first assignment is a HIPAA-regulated clinical platform for a behavioral health client. From there you'll rotate onto our construction, real estate and other client builds, so range across industries matters as much as depth. You'll work directly with our Principal Engineer, who owns architecture and compliance design. Your First Project The first build is a clinical system for internal clinicians and staff: patient charts, treatment plans, medication administration, scheduling and admissions. It is designed from day one to be white-labeled and sold to other clinics, so multi-tenancy and privacy are core requirements, not add-ons. Stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase (Postgres), Edge Functions, REST API Privacy model: records visible only to the assigned care team, aliased patient identities on screen, logged break-the-glass access and full audit trails Multi-tenancy: shared database with row-level isolation per clinic Delivery: greenfield, built in phased milestones with a written spec and documented expected behaviors What You'll Own Postgres schema, migrations and row-level security policies, including tenant isolation and care-team-scoped access Audit logging for every read and write of protected health information The automated test suite that gates every merge to staging Reviewing AI-generated pull requests for correctness, security and compliance gaps before they merge Building features across the stack against the written spec, from API routes to UI Flagging spec gaps and proposing changes rather than working around them After the clinical platform, expect to work across construction and real estate builds: document AI, field and back-office workflows, CRM and Microsoft 365 integrations, and client-facing web platforms. Required Experience 5+ years of professional software engineering, with production Next.js and TypeScript Deep Postgres: schema design, migrations, indexing and row-level security Shipped software handling regulated data (PHI, PII or financial), and can explain how you audited access to it Strong testing discipline: integration and end-to-end tests that catch real regressions Comfortable working with AI coding tools (Cursor or similar) and reviewing their output critically Clear written communication; you document decisions and ask early when a requirement is ambiguous Based in the United States Nice to have Supabase in production, including Edge Functions (Deno) Healthcare software experience: EHR, behavioral health or residential treatment systems Construction, real estate or financial services software experience Document AI or LLM-driven workflows (extraction, takeoff, invoice or contract processing) Microsoft 365 or CRM integrations FHIR or HL7 exposure Multi-tenant SaaS or white-label platform experience Application-level encryption of sensitive fields How we work Every feature is built in its own branch against a local database; nothing is built directly against production Changes reach staging only after passing tests against documented expected behaviors; production releases are approved by the Principal Engineer AI coding agents produce much of the first-draft code; human engineers own correctness, security and review Work is scoped by milestone with written specs and acceptance criteria Full-time and remote, with core hours of 10am to 4pm Eastern Time for reviews and planning; you use your own equipment Engagement terms Full-time contract (1099), through Stratify Software Inc. (Florida) Remote, United States Full-time, 40 hours/week $4791.50/biweekly 6 months, renewable Requires: Signed contractor agreement, NDA and HIPAA Business Associate obligations; background check All work product and IP is assigned under the contractor agreement. How to apply Send your resume or LinkedIn, a link to code you've written (GitHub or a sample), and two or three sentences on the most sensitive data you've built software around to [email protected] 30-minute intro call Paid Take-home (about 2 hours): review an AI-generated pull request against a Supabase schema and report what you would block and why 60-minute technical walkthrough of your review with the Principal Engineer References and offer
