Full Stack Software Engineer

You'll build generative AI applications end to end for a large education technology company whose learning platforms are used by millions of students and teachers every day. It's a true 50/50 full stack role on their AI platform team: half front end, half back end, with real RAG work at the center. What you'll do Design, build and maintain AI-powered tools and apps, including generative AI features that are reliable and scalable Build and tune Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) so the AI gives better answers Build front ends in React or Angular Build back-end services and APIs in Python or Node.js, with MySQL, PostgreSQL and DynamoDB Build to accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2 AA Contribute to CI/CD and to AWS or Azure infrastructure with Terraform Work closely with data scientists, product managers and other engineers on a distributed team What you bring 5+ years in product or enterprise software development 4+ years as a software engineer on distributed teams Hands-on full stack work: React or Angular, Python or Node.js, SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS or Azure with Terraform Practical experience building and improving RAG in a generative AI app Experience building accessible web features Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field Nice to have: a portfolio of your work The details 100% remote (US), Eastern or Central core hours Contract, 6 months, possibility to extend W-2 only.
