General Interest - Talent Community

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role within the General Interest Talent Community. Community members may contribute by sharing relevant resources, highlighting events, and participating in online discussions about bioinformatics and computational biology. Depending on interest and availability, individuals can help organize virtual meet-ups, propose topics, or support communication efforts such as drafting short announcements or community updates. Day-to-day activities are flexible and self-directed, allowing participants to engage in networking, informal mentorship, and collaborative idea exchange. This role is designed to support ongoing community growth and provide a space for professional connection rather than a traditional, fixed-position job.

Qualifications

Interest or background in bioinformatics, computational biology, data science, or related life sciences disciplines. Ability to communicate clearly in English (and optionally Polish) in online forums, meetings, and written messages. Comfort working remotely with digital collaboration tools (video conferencing, chat platforms, shared documents). Willingness to participate in community activities, share knowledge, and engage respectfully with a diverse group of professionals. Curiosity about emerging methods, tools, and applications in bioinformatics and computational biology; prior experience in the field is welcome but not required.
