• Ability to work flexible hours Monday-Friday when school is in session.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of subject matter content.
• Identifies, selects and modifies instructional materials to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs.
• Travel to students homes and/or work virtually with students who are homebound.
• Teach prescribed academic coursework.
• Establishes an environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
• Utilizes effective assessment strategies to assist in the continuous development of students.
• Administers district assessments and provides progress reports as required.
• Maintains accurate records and communicates with students teachers about progress and/or assignment completion.
• Assists in enforcement of school rules, administrative regulations and School Board Policies.
• Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
