Independent American CPA Auditor

SourceOne Global is seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance Controller with an active CPA credential to lead our accounting function, oversee cash flow, and strengthen financial controls and reporting. You’ll provide leadership with clear financial visibility while managing the full accounting cycle across our international operations, suppliers, inventory, and manufacturing assets. Engagement Type: Independent Contractor Estimated Duration: Approximately 2 weeks Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and scope of work Location: Remote What You'll Do: Conduct an independent audit and review of the company's 2026 financial statements. Examine hedging transactions, related accounting records, and financial disclosures to assess their accuracy and appropriate treatment under applicable accounting standards. Evaluate the supporting documentation, reconciliations, and financial records relevant to the audit scope. Assess compliance with applicable U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) and relevant financial reporting requirements. Identify discrepancies, potential risks, or areas requiring adjustments, clarification, or additional documentation. Prepare and present audit findings, recommendations, and a final report outlining the results of the engagement. Collaborate with the company's finance team to obtain the necessary documentation and clarify financial information throughout the audit process. What We're Looking For: An active CPA license issued by a U.S. state or jurisdiction. Demonstrated experience auditing financial statements for U.S.-based companies. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards. Experience reviewing hedging transactions, derivatives, or hedge accounting, including the relevant accounting and disclosure requirements under ASC 815. Proven ability to independently analyze financial records, identify discrepancies, and deliver clear, well-supported audit findings. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, maintain strict confidentiality, and complete the engagement within the estimated two-week timeframe. Availability to begin the engagement according to the company's schedule.
