Instructional Designer Needed to Develop an Engaging Online Course

We are looking for an experienced Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer to help us develop a professional and engaging online course from existing content and subject matter materials. We already have the core information and ideas for the course, but need someone who can take the content and turn it into a well-structured learning experience. This will involve organising the material into logical modules, defining clear learning objectives, developing lesson content and activities, and creating assessments that properly measure learner understanding. The ideal person should understand instructional design principles and be able to make complex or text-heavy information easier for learners to understand and retain. We are particularly interested in someone who can think beyond simply putting content onto slides and can advise us on the best way to structure and deliver the course. The work may include: - Reviewing and organising existing course materials - Developing the overall course structure and curriculum - Writing measurable learning objectives - Creating lesson/module content and instructional activities - Developing quizzes, assessments and knowledge checks - Creating storyboards or eLearning content where required - Supporting LMS/course setup and organisation - Ensuring the final course provides a consistent and engaging learner experience Experience with instructional design, curriculum development, eLearning development and learning management systems (LMS) would be valuable. Familiarity with tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360 or similar course-authoring platforms is also a plus. Please include one or two examples of courses, training programmes or learning materials you have developed. In your proposal, briefly explain how you would approach turning existing subject matter content into a structured online course. We are more interested in understanding your process and experience than receiving a generic proposal. There is potential for additional course development work if the initial project goes well.
