The role owns the Governance operating model across Portfolio Management, Performance & Insights, and Financials & Analytics, providing consistent standards and structures for effective IT investment and delivery decisions. Leading a team of 10, the role ensures reliable performance insights, effective governance cycles, and continuous improvement of governance maturity. Success is reflected in transparent and evidence-based decision-making, consistent governance adoption, and reliable portfolio, financial, and operational performance insights.

About Your Tasks

  • Design, own, and continuously improve the Governance operating model across Portfolio Management, Performance & Insights, and Financials & Analytics, so that IT investment and delivery decisions are transparent and consistent.
  • Define and maintain governance standards for portfolio steering, performance management, and financial/vendor management, so that domains and functions operate against one consistent framework.
  • Establish enterprise-wide KPIs and reporting standards, so that leadership has reliable insight into portfolio, financial, and operational performance.
  • Own and chair core governance forums covering demand management, OpEx/CapEx reviews, and architecture alignment, so that investment decisions are transparent and evidence-based.
  • Drive standardization and automation of governance reporting, so that data quality and efficiency continuously improve.
  • Monitor governance maturity and adoption across domains and functions, so that improvement opportunities are identified and acted on.
  • Represent Governance in CIO Management Business Reviews, so that leadership has a consolidated view of portfolio, performance, and financial health.

About Stakeholders

  • CIO and senior IT leadership: provide consolidated portfolio, performance, and financial insights to support transparent and evidence-based decision-making.
  • C-level and board-level stakeholders: align on relevant governance, investment, performance, and financial topics.
  • IT domains and functions: establish consistent governance standards, KPIs, reporting, and governance cycles across the organization.
  • Architecture stakeholders: coordinate architecture alignment within the wider Governance operating model.
  • Governance team: lead and align Portfolio Management, Performance & Insights, and Financials & Analytics.
Qualifications:

About You

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, IT Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in IT governance, portfolio management, or financial management, including leadership experience.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of IT governance, operating models, and organizational design, with experience applying established frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) where appropriate.

  • Understanding of agile operating models and portfolio governance, with experience in environments applying frameworks such as SAFe or similar.
  • Proven ability to design automation-first governance capabilities, embedding governance into processes, workflows, and digital products rather than relying on manual controls.
