Junior Full-Stack Product Engineer

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

Junior Full-Stack Engineer 3–6 Month Contract · Full-Time · Remote · Paid Potential to transition into a full-time employee role + employee share opportunity About Auria Auria is building a Rights Intelligence Platform for the music industry. Music rights data is fragmented across labels, distributors, publishers, PROs, registrations, and royalty statements. Auria turns that fragmented data into a reliable catalog: cleaning metadata, resolving identities, linking recordings to musical works, checking registration readiness, and making royalty information easier to understand. We’re building a data-heavy product where catalog integrity, traceability, automation, and AI matter. The Role We’re looking for a Junior Full-Stack Engineer to work closely with our technical founder and experienced team on real product features across frontend and backend. We know how difficult it can be to get your first real opportunity as a junior engineer. We’re not looking for someone who already knows everything. We’re looking for strong fundamentals, curiosity, and someone who wants to learn fast and grow with us. We’re happy to teach you and learn from you too. What you'll work on React / Next.js frontend features Python / FastAPI APIs PostgreSQL-backed workflows Catalog, registration, and royalty features Data matching and automation Testing, debugging, and shipping real product features Tech stack: Python · FastAPI · PostgreSQL · React · Next.js · TypeScript · GitHub What we're looking for Strong programming fundamentals Some web development experience Familiarity with Git and pull requests Ability to understand and modify an existing codebase Good written English Curiosity, ownership, and willingness to learn Comfortable working with AI coding tools Big plus: You’re a musician, love music, or simply enjoy taking complex systems apart and figuring out how they work. You do not need to know our entire stack already. AI-assisted development AI is part of our normal engineering workflow. You should be comfortable using tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar. We care less about how much code you write manually and more about whether you can: Give AI the right context Review generated code critically Catch wrong assumptions Test and debug effectively Understand and explain your implementation The Opportunity This starts as a paid, full-time 3–6 month remote contract. If it’s a great fit on both sides, there’s an opportunity to transition into a full-time employee role and continue growing with Auria, including an employee share opportunity. You’ll work on a real product with real users, learn directly from an experienced team, and have the space to take ownership as your skills grow. Hiring Process You’ll receive a small practical engineering task based on real Auria work. Use of AI is expected. We’ll evaluate your problem-solving, implementation quality, testing, engineering judgment, and how effectively you work with AI. You don’t need to be an expert yet. You need to be curious, capable, and ready to learn.
