K-8 Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Job Summary Join our K–8 team as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), helping students strengthen communication and participate more fully in learning and daily life. You’ll conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, develop individualized goals, and deliver speech and language therapy in school-based and, when appropriate, telehealth settings. This role calls for clear communication, thoughtful assessment, and active partnership with students, families, educators, and care teams.
Responsibilities
Assess speech, language, and related communication needs; document findings and progress in electronic schoolbased records. Develop and implement speech-language therapy plans, adapting services to students’ needs and coordinating with families and multidisciplinary teams. Provide therapy and support early intervention when appropriate; collaborate with parents on strategies that reinforce communication goals. Maintain accurate records using medical terminology and follow applicable care and school procedures. Your impact: By connecting assessment findings to practical therapy goals, you help students communicate more confidently and engage in school and everyday activities. Skills Required: Speech-language pathology credentials appropriate to the role, strong patient care and assessment skills, and knowledge of speech therapy, language therapy, anatomy, and physiology. Experience working with children, pediatric populations, individuals with speech impairments, or individuals with disabilities is valuable; school experience is preferred. Familiarity with speech-language therapy plan implementation, parent collaboration, multidisciplinary practice, and telehealth therapy is helpful; telehealth experience is a plus. Pediatrics and early intervention experience are relevant. Experience with geriatric patients is also welcome. Pay: From $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 16.0 per week
