Kafka Developer
Job Title: Kafka Engineer Developer Location: Remote Experience Level: 8 to 10+ Years Job Description: Value Technology is looking for a seasoned Kafka Developer with strong experience in distributed messaging platforms, particularly Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, managing, and optimizing Kafka platforms within large-scale, complex enterprise environments. You will work closely with architecture, development, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration, scalability, and security of data streaming pipelines in a financial services setting. Preferred Qualifications: 8 to 10+ years of IT experience in enterprise systems development. Strong hands-on experience with Kafka platform (3 to 8+ years). Experience with Kubernetes-based deployments (1 to 3 years), especially OpenShift or Amazon EKS. Familiarity with other messaging platforms like IBM MQ is a plus. Experience working with ITIL frameworks and incident tracking systems. Ability to write technical documentation in a structured development environment. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and resolve complex Kafka platform issues across the lifecycle from build to retirement. Design, implement, and maintain high-performance, scalable Kafka-based solutions. Provide consultation and contribute to logical program designs, stable application systems, and Kafka-centric software solutions. Drive automation, monitoring, and deployment best practices. Support systems integration and performance testing for enterprise applications. Mentor junior developers and support teams on Kafka best practices and development lifecycles. Lead engineering excellence initiatives, improving performance and reliability of Kafka infrastructure. Guide the transition to high-level architecture for scalable and secure event-driven solutions. Required Qualifications: Skill set must: Kafka, Java, Data base, bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, or a related field. 8 to 10+ years of software development, database technologies. Proven experience implementing solutions through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
