Kubernetes (K8S) / HPC Engineer | GPU | Linux
Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Kubernetes (K8S) / HPC Engineer | GPU | Linux at SARACA. The engineer will design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes-based clusters supporting high-performance computing workloads, including GPU-accelerated applications. Daily responsibilities include managing Linux systems, optimizing kernel and OS settings for performance, and ensuring reliable infrastructure for large-scale compute and storage. The role involves troubleshooting complex system and cluster issues, implementing monitoring and logging, and collaborating with development and DevOps teams to improve scalability and resilience. The engineer will also contribute to automation scripts, documentation, and best practices for secure and efficient HPC environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage scalable Kubernetes & HPC platforms Support AI/ML, engineering simulation, scientific computing & data-intensive workloads Manage Kubernetes using Docker, Helm & container orchestration technologies Administer HPC clusters using Slurm, Volcano or similar schedulers Support NVIDIA GPU infrastructure and optimize AI/ML workloads Manage Linux infrastructure and automate deployments using Python/Bash Implement CI/CD, monitoring & infrastructure automation Troubleshoot and optimize large-scale distributed compute environments Required Skills 5+ years of Kubernetes / Cloud Infrastructure experience 2+ years of HPC or large-scale compute experience Strong Kubernetes, Docker, Helm & Linux expertise Experience with Slurm, Volcano or similar workload schedulers NVIDIA GPU infrastructure & AI/ML workload experience Python and/or Bash scripting CI/CD, monitoring & infrastructure automation AWS EKS, Azure AKS or GCP GKE ⭐ Preferred Skills: RDMA / InfiniBand Parallel & distributed storage Large-scale GPU/HPC environments Engineering simulation, semiconductor, AI model training or scientific computing experience 🎯 Ideal Candidate: A hands-on Kubernetes/HPC Infrastructure Engineer who can work across Kubernetes, Linux, cloud infrastructure, HPC, GPU platforms, automation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. 📩 Interested or know someone who would be a great fit?
