Team members contribute to a mission-driven environment focused on accessible, high-quality digital health services. Role Description This is a part-time, remote Legal Consultant role. The Legal Consultant will provide practical legal advice and assistance on issues related to digital health, AI-enabled services, data protection, and global healthcare regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and drafting contracts and legal documents, assessing legal risks, and supporting compliance with applicable laws and industry standards. The role involves collaborating with internal teams on policy development, terms of use, privacy notices, and partnership agreements, while helping interpret regulatory changes and their impact on MantraCare’s offerings. The Legal Consultant will also contribute to internal training and guidance to help teams operate in a legally compliant and ethically sound manner.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Law, with knowledge of healthcare, technology, and data privacy regulations. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, policies, and agreements. Ability to analyze and address complex Legal Issues, particularly in digital health, AI, and cross-border services. Experience providing clear, practical Legal Advice and Legal Assistance to non-legal stakeholders. Relevant legal degree (e.g., JD, LLB, or equivalent) and active license or eligibility to practice law in at least one jurisdiction. Experience working with or advising startups, health tech platforms, or international companies is highly beneficial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to explain legal concepts clearly.
