Licensed Therapist - Virtual, Outpatient

Job Description: Licensed Therapist (LPC, LCSW) | Telehealth | W2 or 1099 Kemet Health is the practice we would have needed when things were darkest, built so it is there for the people we love. Most therapy jobs ask you to build a caseload, rush the hour, and carry the billing. We do the opposite. We are a psychiatric practice for adults. One relationship covers medication, therapy, and education, with enough time for the work to matter. Care is easy to reach: priority access, commercial insurance, and self-pay. We send you the patients. Sessions are 60 minutes. You set the hours. We handle intake, scheduling, credentialing, and billing. You are not an add-on. Psychotherapy is half of how we treat patients. About Kemet Health: Kemet Health is a full-service outpatient psychiatric group practice. We provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy for adults, primarily by telehealth. Our mission is to make high-quality mental health care accessible and affordable. We bill commercial insurance and offer self-pay options. We are a small, growing team. Location: Virtual (fully remote via telehealth) Why Therapists Join Us:

Patient Population: Adults (18+) with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and related conditions. Responsibilities:

• Provide individual psychotherapy to adults by telehealth, using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches
• Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes on time in our EHR
• Coordinate with Kemet psychiatric clinicians on shared patients
• Follow clinical, documentation, and payer requirements so every session is billed accurately

Required Qualifications:

• Independent clinical license: LPC or LCSW, or your state's equivalent (for example LCPC or LMHC)
• Credentialed with commercial insurance plans, or able to complete credentialing promptly

Strongly Preferred:

• Clinical experience treating adults with anxiety, depression, and related conditions
• Experience treating trauma
• Active Virginia license (our home state)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licenses in Maryland, Florida, Delaware, New Hampshire, or New Mexico
• Training in EMDR, somatic therapies, or other trauma-focused modalities
• Training in CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based modalities
• Comfort integrating spirituality into therapy when a client requests it
• Experience in outpatient or group practice settings

Schedule: Hours are flexible and you set your weekly availability. Full-time at Kemet is 25 to 30 sessions per week; part-time schedules are welcome. Expected Annual Earnings (full-time, depending on caseload):

• W2 employee: about $78,000 to $101,000 per year, plus health, dental, and vision insurance and a 401(k)
• Independent contractor (1099): about $90,000 to $117,000 per year
• Part-time earnings scale with your schedule.
• Signing bonus: $1,500 after your first 90 days, once you are averaging 20 or more sessions per week.

How Pay Works: You are paid for each completed session, with no cap on earnings, paid twice monthly. Session rates are set from our average insurance reimbursement and reviewed each year. Today that is about $70 per session (W2) or $81 per session (1099), with higher rates for self-pay sessions. W2 clinicians are benefits-eligible when averaging 20 or more sessions per week.
