Install, configure and upgrade Linux system software and hosted infrastructure applications, such as Apache. Configure CPU, memory, disk partitions, logical volumes and file systems, and tune performance and resource use. Build and support Linux virtual machines on VMware, Hyper-V, Azure and AWS. Write and maintain infrastructure as code, automation and configuration management with Ansible and shell scripting. Patch Linux systems with approved tools (Ansible, BigFix, Tenable, Trellix) and recommend improvements to the patch management process. Monitor Linux servers and storage across OMAO facilities, ships, Client, MO, uncrewed and cloud environments. Recommend capacity thresholds and contribute Linux data to the quarterly server capacity and performance reports. Keep server records current: names, locations, IP addresses, operating systems, and license and warranty information. Provide Tier III support: troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux server, service and application-hosting problems. Harden Linux systems to NIST, DOC and NOAA security baselines, and fix vulnerabilities found in Nessus and Tenable scans. Integrate Linux systems with Active Directory and manage authentication, sudo and privileged access, PIV/CAC multifactor authentication, SSO and certificates. Prepare change requests for Linux system changes, track approvals and completion, and keep configuration records for Linux-hosted services. Work Linux-related POA&M items and provide evidence for A&A and continuous monitoring. Support Linux-hosted data services, contingency and disaster recovery planning and testing, and backup and restore operations. About IBSS Corp.
