Machine Learning Engineer

Position: Machine Learning - Risk Intelligence - Fintech Location: Worldwide Schedule: Remote Type: Full-Time ArrowFin Global builds real time risk intelligence for the futures trading industry, systems that detect when a trader is heading toward a blowup before it happens. This is applied ML: deep reasoning about trading data and behavior matters more here than novel model architecture. You'll own the ML and modeling work behind our behavioral scoring and trader profiling systems, reporting to our Technical Program Lead and Principal Data Engineer, who owns the overall risk intelligence platform. What you'll do 🔹 Design and build behavioral models using real trading data spanning hundreds of millions of fills 🔹 Design labeling strategies and build high quality labeled datasets with clear, reproducible methodology 🔹 Define rigorous evaluation frameworks and guard against leakage, sampling bias, and overfitting 🔹 Take models from research notebooks into production Python services, typed contracts, tests, fixtures 🔹 Validate models under noisy, live trading conditions and ensure production matches research results 🔹 Present your work regularly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives What you bring (required) ✅ 4+ years building and shipping ML/data products in industry, not academia only, with strong production Python ✅ Comfortable working independently from ambiguous problem statements, a question and a database, not a spec ✅ Strong SQL and experience with large, messy real world datasets, PostgreSQL/Timescale a plus ✅ Able to explain models in plain English to non-ML audiences; interviews include presenting a past project ✅ Effective with AI coding tools; you must be able to explain every line you ship ✅ Conversational English and comfort engaging directly with stakeholders and executives ✅ Minimum 4 hours of overlap with US Central time working hours Nice to have ➕ Trading or futures domain knowledge, genuine curiosity about markets counts ➕ LLM/RAG experience Contract type: Remote, long term contract To apply: Apply on LinkedIn with a short summary of your production ML experience and why you're interested in this role Why Join ArrowFin Colombia?
