Mainframe Tester

Job Title: Mainframe Testing Location: Columbia, SC 29212 100% Remote Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible) Interview Process: 1 Round – Virtual Daily Duties & Responsibilities Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test plans for mainframe-based Medicaid applications. Perform functional, system, integration, and business interface testing as applicable to project requirements. Test software coding changes involving Medicaid systems and related data. Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and investigate differences between expected and actual outcomes. Collaborate with development teams and project stakeholders to resolve testing issues. Support client with User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Coordinate testing activities with internal users, external healthcare providers, and trading partners as needed. Prepare and maintain business, process, and technical testing documentation. Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project deadlines. Collaborate with Clemson University staff and other contracted project resources. Required Skills 4+ years of experience with Mainframe systems. 4+ years of experience with MVS COBOL. 4+ years of experience with JCL (Job Control Language). 4+ years of experience with Software Testing. 4+ years of experience creating Test Scenarios. Preferred Skills Experience with SQL. Experience with Serena ChangeMan. Experience using Microsoft Excel as a testing tool. ISTQB Certification preferred. Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
