Remote Position

Marketing Analyst

🌍 Remote · Germany 💼 Full-time

Our marketing team is growing fast, and we're looking for someone to help us make sense of all the data coming in from our campaigns and product launches. This isn't just about pulling numbers; it's about translating those numbers into actionable insights that directly shape how we reach job seekers and grow AIApply. We've seen explosive growth, with millions of users relying on our tools to navigate their job search. With that scale comes a massive amount of information about user acquisition, engagement, and conversion. Right now, our marketing managers are spending too much time digging through raw data when they could be strategizing and executing. That's where you come in. You'll be the go-to person for understanding what's working, what's not, and why. In your first few months, you'll immerse yourself in our existing data infrastructure. You'll get to grips with how we track campaign performance across various channels, spending significant time within Google Analytics 4 to understand user journeys and identify key touchpoints. You'll also familiarise yourself with our internal data warehouse, using SQL to extract the specific data sets needed for deeper analysis. A major early project will be optimising our campaign reporting dashboards to ensure marketing leadership has clear, real-time visibility into performance metrics. This isn't just about building reports; it's about understanding the questions leadership needs answered and designing visualisations that provide those answers efficiently. Day to day, you'll be collaborating closely with our Head of Marketing, individual campaign managers, and the product analytics team. For example, a campaign manager might come to you with a question about why a particular ad set isn't performing as expected, or why a new landing page isn't converting as well as anticipated. You'll use your analytical skills, often starting with A/B test data, to dig into the details, identify potential causes, and recommend adjustments. You'll also be instrumental in setting up the tracking and analysis for new initiatives, ensuring we can measure their impact from day one. This involves working with the engineering team to ensure proper data capture and with the marketing team to define success metrics. Our marketing team operates remotely across the US, valuing clear communication and asynchronous collaboration. We use Slack for quick chats, but detailed discussions often happen in Notion documents or during scheduled video calls. We believe in empowering team members to own their work and contribute ideas, regardless of their level. This role is crucial because it sits at the intersection of data and strategy, directly informing our spend and targeting decisions. We expect you to not just report the 'what' but to help us understand the 'why' and suggest the 'how' for improvement. The hiring process for this role typically involves an initial introductory call with our Head of Marketing, followed by a technical assessment focused on your SQL and reporting skills. Candidates who progress will then have interviews with a couple of marketing team members to discuss your approach to campaign analysis and a final conversation with a senior leader.
