Marketing Operations Intern (UNPAID)
Marketing Operations Intern (Unpaid) About Prox Prox is an early-stage consumer technology startup helping people save money on groceries. Our app helps shoppers compare grocery prices and deals across nearby stores, understand where their basket is cheapest, and discover better ways to shop locally. We combine grocery pricing data, product discovery, personalized recommendations, and content to make grocery shopping more transparent and affordable. We're building a consumer brand alongside the product, with a growing presence across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, email, and other channels. We're looking for a Marketing Operations Intern who can help us turn that presence into a repeatable growth engine. What You'll Own This is a hands-on role spanning social media, content operations, community management, analytics, and creator partnerships. Social Media & Community Publish and schedule content across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other Prox channels. Help manage the day-to-day social content calendar. Monitor comments, questions, and conversations around Prox's posts. Respond to and engage with users in a way that builds the Prox brand and community. Identify opportunities to join relevant conversations, trends, and posts from other creators and brands. Help ensure content is posted consistently and on schedule. Content Ideation & Execution Develop new content ideas based on trends, grocery news, consumer pain points, and Prox data. Research successful content formats, hooks, creators, and competitors. Turn insights from Prox's grocery pricing data into engaging social content. Help create briefs for videos, carousels, graphics, and other social posts. Repurpose high-performing content across multiple platforms. Work with the broader team to test new content formats and creative concepts. Marketing Analytics Track performance across posts, platforms, and campaigns. Analyze views, engagement, follower growth, clicks, downloads, and other key metrics. Identify which topics, formats, hooks, and distribution strategies are performing best. Maintain reporting dashboards and recurring marketing performance reports. Turn performance data into clear recommendations for what Prox should create or test next. Help establish repeatable processes for measuring content and marketing effectiveness. Influencer & UGC Operations Find creators who could produce compelling content for Prox. Research influencers, UGC creators, creator marketplaces, and influencer marketing platforms. Build and maintain a pipeline of potential creators and partnerships. Evaluate creators based on audience fit, content quality, engagement, cost, and expected performance. Support creator outreach and partnership tracking. Research examples of successful creator campaigns from consumer apps, grocery brands, retailers, and adjacent companies. Help Prox develop a scalable approach to sourcing and testing UGC. Who We're Looking For You may be a strong fit if you: Are currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communications, business, design, journalism, media, or a related field. Understand how people actually use TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms. Have strong instincts for what makes content interesting, useful, or shareable. Are comfortable writing social copy and engaging directly with an online community. Can look at performance data and draw useful conclusions from it. Are organized enough to manage content calendars, creator pipelines, and recurring workflows. Are comfortable conducting online research and turning it into actionable recommendations. Can work independently without waiting for detailed instructions on every task. Are excited about working in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities can evolve quickly. --Experience running a personal, school, organization, or company social account is a plus, but professional marketing experience is not required. --Experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, TikTok, Google Sheets, social analytics tools, creator marketplaces, or similar platforms is also a plus. This Role Is Perfect for You If You are the type of person who sees a great TikTok and immediately starts thinking about how another brand could recreate the format. You enjoy both the creative and analytical sides of marketing. You might spend part of your day researching creators and writing content ideas, then spend another part analyzing why one post received 10x more engagement than another. Most importantly, you like executing. This is not an internship where your primary responsibility is observing meetings or preparing hypothetical marketing plans. You'll work on marketing activities that go directly in front of real Prox users. What You'll Get Hands-on experience helping grow an early-stage consumer startup. Direct experience with social media strategy, content operations, community management, influencer marketing, UGC, and growth analytics. Opportunities to create real portfolio work rather than hypothetical projects. Exposure to how a consumer brand and product are built together. Direct collaboration with Prox's Founder/CEO and broader product, design, and marketing teams. Significant ownership over projects and the opportunity to see your ideas tested with real users. Logistics Time commitment: 15+ hours per week Location: Remote Start date: As soon as possible Schedule: Flexible around school or other commitments, with consistent weekly availability expected Compensation: Unpaid but could provide class credit depending on institution Because this role supports active social channels, candidates should be comfortable checking and responding to marketing needs throughout the week rather than completing all hours in one block.
How to Apply
Do not apply directly on LinkedIn. Instead, follow these steps: Submit your résumé to [email protected] Provide a short explanation of why you're interested in Prox and this role.
