Marketplace Practice Development Manager (Optical Sales)

This is essentially a Practice Development + Field Training + Optical Sales + Customer Success role. The strongest candidates will come from optical retail or optometry practice environments, have experience training staff and improving office workflows, possess strong industry relationships, and be comfortable traveling throughout the territory to drive platform adoption and revenue growth. Build relationships with doctors and practice staff Train teams on new technology Understand optical office workflows Drive sales and revenue growth Travel extensively and manage a territory- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday travel- Monday – Friday WFH Gather customer feedback and influence product improvements Lead change management and drive long-term platform adoption Related Backgrounds Optical field trainers Healthcare practice consultants Customer success professionals within healthcare technology SaaS adoption specialists with optical or healthcare experience Territory & Travel Territory is focused on the East Coast. Significant concentration around New York City. Atlanta currently has approximately 60 practices utilizing the platform. Candidate will visit practices regularly and oversee adoption efforts. Approximately 75% travel. Travel is expected primarily Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Monday and Friday are typically work-from-home days used for planning, reporting, customer follow-up, and administrative work. Current engagement is a 6-month proof-of-concept assignment, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. The biggest responsibility is not selling new accounts but ensuring existing practices fully adopt the platform. The candidate will Train doctors, optical staff, and front-desk teams. Integrate the platform into daily office workflows. Ensure the platform becomes part of the normal patient journey rather than an extra step. Follow up regularly with practices to drive engagement and usage.
