Role: Master Production Scheduler - Manufacturing Location: Remote Duration: Contract 12+ months
Job Description
Develop, maintain, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align production capacity with customer demand and business objectives. Translate customer orders, demand forecasts, and inventory targets into achievable production plans. Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure production readiness. Monitor production capacity, equipment availability, material constraints, and manufacturing lead times. Manage work-in-process (WIP), production priorities, bottlenecks, and schedule changes to minimize delays. Identify potential production risks and develop contingency plans to maintain schedule adherence. Track key performance indicators, including on-time delivery, schedule attainment, capacity utilization, inventory levels, and production throughput. Analyze demand fluctuations and production constraints to recommend scheduling improvements. Collaborate with material planners and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components. Prepare production reports, capacity analyses, and scheduling updates for management.
