Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Biller to join our revenue cycle team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health billing, familiarity with AHCCCS and commercial payers, and a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

Submit insurance claims (primary and secondary) accurately and in a timely manner Review and resolve rejected/denied claims Manage aging reports and follow up on unpaid claims Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed Post insurance and patient payments Send patient statements and respond to billing inquiries Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Collaborate with clinical and admin teams on documentation and coding best practices Qualifications 2+ years of medical billing experience, preferably in mental or behavioral health Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and EHR/PM systems (Valant preferably) Familiarity with AHCCCS, BCBS, Aetna, United, Cigna, Medicare and other major Arizona payers Experience with claim appeals, patient billing, and collections Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Strong communication skills—able to work independently and as part of a team Bonus If You Have Experience with multi-location practices or credentialing support Prior work with both fee-for-service and value-based contracts Spanish proficiency (a plus, not required)
