Online Community Specialist

Role Description Le labo des CIP is seeking an Online Community Specialist for a part-time, remote position. The Online Community Specialist will manage and nurture online communities across social platforms, forums, and other digital channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include moderating discussions, responding to member inquiries, and ensuring a respectful, inclusive environment. The role involves planning and executing engagement initiatives, sharing relevant content, gathering feedback from community members, and reporting insights to the team. The specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align community activities with organizational goals and support digital events, campaigns, and outreach efforts.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with diverse community members. Proven experience in community engagement, including organizing online activities and fostering participation. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and respectfully. Customer service orientation, with experience handling inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a supportive tone. Community management skills, including moderating discussions, enforcing guidelines, and using community platforms or tools. Comfort working independently in a remote environment, with reliable internet access and strong time management skills. Familiarity with social media platforms and basic analytics to monitor engagement and community trends. Previous experience in online communities, nonprofits, educational programs, or related fields is an asset.
