Online Teacher, Computer Science

Job Description:

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live Computer Science lessons tailored to individual student needs
Teach programming, algorithms, data structures, computational thinking and problem-solving
Use teaching strategies and digital tools to create an interactive online learning environment
Assess student progress, provide targeted feedback and adapt teaching approaches
Plan and communicate course schedules, lesson content and assessment timelines
Set homework and design and administer assessments
Develop educational materials and contribute to CGA’s learning resources
Maintain a professional and well-organized online classroom
Support students from around the world in developing computer science knowledge, computational thinking, problem-solving and programming skills

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in a school setting; tutoring experience cannot be counted
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education or a related field
Strong knowledge of computer science concepts and programming
Exceptional communication skills for interaction with students, parents and the CGA team
Familiarity with online teaching platforms
Passion for innovative, technology-enabled education
Preferred: Previous experience teaching Computer Science at secondary/high school level
Preferred: Experience teaching an international curriculum
Preferred: Strong programming knowledge and experience teaching languages such as Python, Java or similar
Preferred: A recognized teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree or teaching license
Preferred: Previous online teaching experience
