ABOUT BFC LOGISTICS BFC Logistics is an owner-led freight brokerage built around hands-on service, reliable communication and direct accountability. Our small team stays close to every shipment while using the carrier relationships and technology resources needed to serve customers nationwide. THE OPPORTUNITY We’re hiring a part-time Operations & Freight Broker Trainee who wants to learn the freight brokerage business directly from the owners of a growing company. The role begins with structured training in daily freight operations and can grow into managing smaller customer accounts and earning commission. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- • Make carrier check calls and obtain accurate ETA updates
- • Track active shipments and update load statuses
- • Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments
- • Collect PODs and help completed loads move through release
- • Send routine customer and carrier updates
- • Keep shipment records accurate in our transportation system
- • Escalate delays, missed appointments and other service exceptions
- Learn pricing, carrier relations and customer account management WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- • Dependable, organized and able to follow through
- • Comfortable communicating professionally by phone and email
- • Able to manage several time-sensitive tasks at once
- • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- • Interest in logistics, sales and customer relationships
- • Some availability during weekday business hours
- Freight or logistics experience is helpful, but not required COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
- • Approximately 15 hours per week
- $21–$23 per hour, based on experience
- • Flexible part-time schedule
- • Training provided
