Part-Time ELA Tutor (K–6) – Reading (Phonics + Comprehension + Vocabulary) Tutive – Online | $20/hour | Remote | Evenings (EST/CST preferred) About Tutive Tutive is an online tutoring company focused on building strong literacy and math foundations for students in grades K-6. We work closely with families to deliver structured, engaging, and effective instruction using high-quality resources and data-informed strategies. Our goal is simple: support students in becoming confident, independent learners. Position Overview We’re currently hiring an experienced, certified teacher to provide 1:1 online tutoring in English Language Arts (ELA) for students in grades K-6. This includes mainly phonics instruction. You’ll work with students individually in the evening, helping them build skills and confidence over time. Key Requirements
- Active and valid K–6 teaching certification (required)
- Currently teaching or recently taught in a classroom
- Strong ability to teach reading, writing, and phonics
- Orton-Gillingham trained (or equivalent highly preferred)
- UFLI training strongly recommended
- Available to teach evenings ((EST/CST preferred)) What You’ll Do:
- Deliver 1:1 online lessons to K–6 students in reading, writing, and phonics
- Use research-based strategies and follow Tutive’s instructional framework
- Communicate student progress and needs through brief lesson notes
- Maintain professionalism and rapport with both students and Tutive staff Details:
- Pay: $20/hour (sessions ranges from 15- 60 minutes)
- Location: Remote (USA only)
- Schedule: Evenings, flexible based on your availability
