Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry/Intake

About Our Client: This organization operates a specialty oncology pharmacy model serving community, oncology, and hematology physicians, patients, payers, and manufacturers. It addresses the specialized needs in oncology pharmacy by providing targeted pharmaceutical care and services within a high-volume setting. 2. About the Opportunity: The Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry/Intake role focuses on managing patient intake and prescription setup within a specialty pharmacy environment. This position ensures timely and accurate processing of patient profiles and orders, contributing to efficient pharmacy operations and supporting patient care. 3. Responsibilities: Create patient profiles and process orders from electronic prescriptions and fax queues promptly Request refill prescriptions as needed Manage incoming documents received via fax 4. Requirements: Licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience; specialty pharmacy experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacy terminology, medication names, and sig codes Basic math and analytical skills Intermediate typing and keyboarding skills Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be detail-oriented High School Diploma or GED required Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) certification desired 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package: Starting salary from $22.00 per hour and up Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM CST Potential to transition to remote work after onsite training 6.
