Power BI Developer - Remote
# POWER BI DEVELOPER – POWER PLATFORM ## About the Role We are seeking a Power BI Developer for a part-time, fully remote development role supporting a Transit Management System (TMS) project. The ideal candidate will have strong Power BI development experience and the ability to work with underlying data, troubleshoot existing reporting solutions, and translate project and stakeholder requirements into accurate and useful reporting tools. The role will work within an established Power Platform development team and requires independent execution alongside collaboration with the CCG Development Manager and Lead Power Platform Developer. ## Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for the Transit Management System. Work with Microsoft Dataverse and Power Platform data to develop reporting solutions. Build data models, relationships, calculations, and DAX measures. Use Power Query for data preparation and transformation. Manage Power BI Service publishing, workspaces, refreshes, and permissions. Review, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Power BI reports and data models. Validate reporting data for accuracy and consistency. Support data security and row-level access requirements. Complete assigned development tasks within established timelines. Coordinate with the CCG Development Manager and Lead Power Platform Developer. Maintain technical documentation for completed development work. Provide knowledge transfer for completed solutions. Develop and maintain reporting solutions that address project and stakeholder requirements. ## Required Qualifications 3+ years of Microsoft Power BI development experience. Strong Power BI development experience. Experience working effectively within an existing Power Platform development environment. Experience with Power BI Service, including publishing, workspaces, refreshes, and permissions. Experience with Microsoft Dataverse and Power Platform. Experience with DAX and Power Query. Experience with data modeling, relationships, and data visualization. Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports. Experience with row-level security and report access. Experience with data validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Experience improving and maintaining existing Power BI solutions. Ability to work independently while collaborating with an established development team. ## Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts. Experience integrating Power BI with Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Power Platform components. Experience with Microsoft Fabric or related Microsoft data and analytics services.
