Product Manager

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

Product Manager – Agentic Integration A little about this gig Our client, a large-scale eCommerce organization, is seeking an experienced Product Manager – Agentic Integration to help shape and scale the next generation of off-property commerce. In this role, you will lead product strategy and execution for the integration capabilities that allow AI platforms, intelligent assistants, agents, and external partners to connect with a large-scale eCommerce ecosystem. You will work at the intersection of agentic AI, APIs, platform architecture, eCommerce, and partner integrations, helping create the foundational services and integration patterns that make AI-powered commerce possible beyond traditional owned digital experiences. This is a highly technical product role for someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution, partner closely with engineering, and translate emerging concepts such as Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent-to-agent (A2A) communication, and AI agents into scalable product capabilities.

Responsibilities

Own the product strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day execution for agentic integration capabilities. Translate emerging opportunities in agentic commerce into clear product requirements, priorities, MVPs, and measurable outcomes. Balance investment in long-term platform foundations with near-term opportunities to launch valuable integrations. Identify where reusable platform capabilities can replace one-off integrations and enable future ecosystem growth. Establish success metrics across platform reliability, integration adoption, partner enablement, and customer impact. Own strategy, roadmaps, measurable OKRs, platform maturity, partner onboarding, and integration outcomes. Partner closely with engineering to build the foundational integration layer supporting agentic commerce. Help define how external AI platforms and agents interact with commerce capabilities through APIs, MCP, and agent-to-agent integration patterns. Evaluate when traditional API integrations are appropriate and where emerging agentic integration models can create additional value. Collaborate with adjacent product and engineering teams building specialized agents and supporting platform capabilities. Define product requirements for scalable, secure, reliable integration patterns that can support multiple partners and experiences. Own capabilities from discovery and requirements through development, launch, measurement, and iteration. Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, develop clear user stories, and partner with engineering to drive execution. Coordinate dependencies across product, engineering, design, security, privacy, legal, data governance, and business stakeholders. Proactively identify technical, organizational, and governance blockers and drive teams toward resolution. Communicate roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership. Create an environment of continuous learning by using partner feedback, customer insights, and product data to improve the platform. Serve as a key product partner for external technology platforms integrating with the eCommerce ecosystem. Translate partner needs into scalable platform capabilities rather than one-off solutions. Collaborate on API contracts, integration requirements, onboarding approaches, documentation, and readiness standards. Help establish an ecosystem that is open, extensible, reliable, and prepared for rapidly evolving AI commerce experiences. Balance the needs of external partners with enterprise requirements for security, privacy, governance, reliability, and customer experience. The ideal candidate 5+ years of product management experience, preferably with experience in eCommerce, platform products, APIs, integrations, AI-powered products, or related technical environments. Demonstrated experience owning technically complex products from strategy through delivery. Experience building or scaling APIs, platforms, integration products, developer-facing capabilities, or partner ecosystems. Strong track record of working closely with engineering teams and translating technical concepts into clear product priorities. Experience coordinating complex initiatives involving multiple teams, dependencies, and stakeholders. Experience with third-party integrations, partner ecosystems, or developer platforms is highly valuable. Technical fluency sufficient to engage deeply with engineering and architecture teams (not required to be a software engineer). Familiarity with several of the following is ideal: agentic AI architectures, Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent-to-agent (A2A) integration concepts, REST APIs and API-driven architectures, integration and API contract design, backend/platform architecture, eCommerce platforms and services, LLM-powered applications and AI product development, event-driven architectures and webhooks, and Python, LangChain, or LangGraph. Technical curiosity: a genuine desire to understand how the technology works, not simply manage a backlog. Bias for action and comfort making progress in an emerging space where every answer is not yet defined. Systems thinking: ability to see beyond an individual integration and recognize reusable platform capabilities needed to support an ecosystem. Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to turn an evolving strategy into a practical product roadmap. Scrappy execution and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. Enterprise awareness: understanding how to move quickly while navigating security, privacy, legal, governance, and architectural requirements. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between engineering teams, product leadership, business stakeholders, and external technology partners. Reasons to love it The opportunity to sit at the center of the evolution of agentic commerce, where customers are discovering new ways to shop and interact with retailers beyond traditional websites and applications. Rather than building a single AI experience, you will help create the integration foundation that enables an entire ecosystem of AI-powered commerce experiences. The chance to work in an emerging product space where APIs, agentic AI, commerce, developer platforms, and external technology ecosystems converge. A highly technical, high-impact product role with significant influence over strategy, architecture, and partner ecosystem growth. Exposure to cutting-edge concepts such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-to-agent (A2A) communication at enterprise scale.
