We design and run In-Home Usage Testing (IHUT), locally and nationally, to give companies and market research firms real user feedback in real time. That feedback helps evaluate products, support proper certification and open up greater market access.
About the Role
We’re looking for Product Testers across the US to work from home on upcoming contracts with national and international companies. You’ll try products at home, follow a daily testing schedule and share honest feedback with big brands about their upcoming products and services in the American market. No experience is required. This suits entry-level, flexible, seasonal, temporary or part-time work. Role Summary Location: Work from home, nationwide in the US Hours: 15 to 25 hours per week, with a routine you commit to Pay: $25 to $45 per hour, depending on the project Payment: Weekly every Wednesday, by direct deposit or cheque Status: Independent contractor No Cost to You There is no payment required to apply or to work as an In-Home Usage Tester. You never have to buy products or pay for shipping, because we cover everything. How Matching Works During the application process, partner market research companies use questionnaires to understand your demographics and consumer profile. This helps us match you with products suited to you and gives our clients the representative sample they need. Participation in product testing and consumer panels is always free, secure and private. What You’ll Do Follow the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule for each project. Tasks may include unpacking, reading instructions, journal entries, online or mobile feedback, using the product for a set time, writing reviews and taking pictures Document each test as instructed, with screenshots, audio recordings, videos and product journal entries Take care of the product being tested and use it responsibly Write reviews as requested in each project’s schedule Use mobile in-home use testing technology on some projects, which captures in-the-moment reactions Join private chat rooms opened by a market research firm to discuss the product, when requested What We’re Looking For The ability to follow specific instructions Excellent attention to detail and a curious spirit The ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week and stick to a routine A computer and a reliable internet connection A digital camera or a phone that takes pictures Honesty and reliability Good communication skills (an asset) Age 18 or older
